In 2009, the old Customs House Treasury was part of a rehabilitation project that did not only aim its adaptation to a museological space, but also turned it into the Museum Shop.

This room, with a river view, where customs service worked, had as prime function the verification of administrative processes and financial operations related to the payment of customs taxes.

The adaptation into museum space that was carried out kept the original space matrix, regarding the existing divisions and the exhibition of some museum artefacts, that are a token of the activity of the Porto New Customs House.

As Museum Shop, the space adaptation also respected the memory of the place and gave it an unique environment.
